GenoVision AS is an international pioneer in DNA sample preparation, with a focus on developing systems for automatic isolation and purification of DNA, as well as diagnostic methods used in connection with organ transplants. 

The company was started and seed financed by NeoMed Innovation ASA in 1998.  NeoMed has subsequently taken an active role in all stages of corporate evolution at GenoVision, including team composition, strategy formulation and securing a corporate development partnership with  Orchid BioSciences.  In its role as lead investor, NeoMed secured substantial investments into the company from syndicate partners, and also initiated and led the negotiations that led to the eventual sale of the company.

In June 2002, GenoVision was sold to Qiagen, the world-leading supplier of DNA reagents and equipment.  Following the acquisition, GenoVision has remained an important Centre of Excellence in the Qiagen organization.
